rob%20beach.jpgWelcome to Digitalrecruiter.com.

You have heard it before: "we have solutions," "we help clients succeed," and "we have helped hundreds of clients achieve ROI." For me, it is not just a euphemism for selling a product or service; but rather a frame of reference for moving forward in my career by truly aspiring to create mutual success.

Ask the clients that know and trust me and they will tell you that I am unique. Wow. I am really feeling a bit self-serving here; but I am proud about the work I have done, and passionate about the industry I work in; call it recruiting, staffing, human capital, talent management, or whatever buzzword that you prefer. For me, it is about performance and results. Success. Success for me and for you.

More About Me...

I love the outdoors. In high school, while travelling the northeast looking at potential colleges to attend, I stopped in Vermont to see the Burton Snowboard factory. I bought a wooden snowboard and immediately sought out a few back country runs. I was hooked. Since then any chance I have I hit the back country or head out west for some powder. I find it relaxing to charge down a face of a freshly snow-covered hill or mountain. Of course, I am getting my two boys interested as well; they seem to be mainly interested in the snow, as we live in Apex, North Carolina and rarely see the white stuff.

During school at Ithaca College in upstate New York I studied Health Care Policy and Gerontology with the plan of becoming a hospital administrator. I spent the my summers in Boston working at Brigham and Women's Hospital and also worked on capital hill at a health association. I lived with my good friends in Mount Pleasant and also worked as the First Mate on the Cherry Blossom, a true-working stern wheeler Alexandria, VA. Lots of interesting times. After moving to Boston in 1992, I became a recruiter. Started in a "boiler room" as a contingency recruiter becoming the top recruiter on the team and then migrated to Robert Half International where I was a top producing technology recruiter. From there I went on to lead corporate recruiting teams for New Era of Networks, Sun Microsystems, and RTI International. You can learn more about my professional experience here. While at Sun Microsystems on Broomfield, CO, I launched one of the country's first "niche" job boards; Colorado-computerjobs.com. I built a following of over 10,000 technology professionals and facilitated connections that led to over 500 people finding their dream job.

I have also started two companies. One focused on project based recruiting and consulting for fast growth companies and the other a venture backed technology startup focused on online recruiting technology. I learned a lot about being focused, passionate, and delivering value for clients. View Rob Humphrey's profile on LinkedIn
